Koratala Siva will write and direct the next Indian action drama film Devara: Part 1. The film, produced by Yuvasudha Arts and N. T. R. Arts, stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr. as the eponymous character, with Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor (making her Telugu debut).
The film was officially announced in April 2021 with the preliminary title NTR30, and the actual title was revealed in May 2023. Devara was originally planned as a standalone film, but it was split into two parts, with the first beginning production in 2023. Principal photography began in April 2023, with locations in Hyderabad and Goa. The film's technical crew comprises composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer R. Rathnavelu, and editor A. Sreekar Prasad.
Devara: Part 1 is set to be released in theaters on September 27, 2024.
