Plot
After the Kurukshetra War in 3102 BC, Ashwatthama tries to kill Uttar's unborn child. Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Vishnu, curses him for committing the crime, causing him to roam the earth as an immortal and witness humanity's misery during the Kali Yuga due to societal and moral decline. In 2898 AD, 6,000 years after the events of the Kurukshetra War, the desertified city of Kasi stands as the last known city in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by Supreme Yaskin, a totalitarian god king. His divine gem is also taken from his forehead, and the only way he can be saved is by protecting the mother of Kalki, Vishnu's 10th and final reincarnation, toward the end of the Kali Yu The city is ruled by Yaskin from the Complex, a megastructure shaped like an inverted pyramid. Commander Manas, Counselor Bani, and Raiders enforce his authority by guarding against threats, particularly Kalki's predicted arrival.
In this dystopian society, fertile Kasi-based refugees are compelled to travel to the Complex for Project K, an experiment that uses artificially inseminated foetuses to produce a serum that will extend Yaskin's life by 200 years. But no woman has made it through the procedure. With the assistance of rebels led by Rumi from the hidden city of Shambhala, Raia, a young girl disguised as a boy, narrowly evades conscription.[c] Raia seeks safety in a cave, where she meets Ashwatthama. She accidentally gives him Shivamani, his divine gem, which the Shambhala rebels found and gave to her. The pair set out to locate Kalki's mother together.
SUM-80, a Project K employee who was concealing her 150-day pregnancy, is discovered and apprehended at the Complex. Before Shambhala rebel Lilly interrupts the procedure, Manas extracts a single drop of serum from her fetus. SUM-80 gets out of the lab with Lilly's help, but Lilly stays behind to stop the Raiders. Shambhala rebels Veeran, Kyra, and Ajju save SUM-80. SUM-80 is renamed Sumathi by Kyra. After Manas places a bounty on Sumathi, their convoy is attacked by Raiders and bounty hunters on its way to Shambhala. Kyra is killed even though they fight off the attackers.
Bhairava, a bounty hunter, continues to pursue in Bujji, an AI supercar. Ashwatthama intervenes when he sees Kalki, Sumathi's unborn child, through his gem. The group reaches Shambhala, where the tree of life blooms in Kalki's presence, despite Bhairava's efforts to subdue him. Bhairava bargains with Manas for Sumathi's capture and entry into the Complex.
By pretending to be Ashwatthama, Bhairava finds Shambhala. He gets Sumathi to join him in fleeing Shambhala, but the real Ashwatthama intercepts him. Mariam, the leader of Shambhala, tries to get Sumathi away to safety as they fight. Bhairava is tracked to Shambhala by Manas and the Raiders, who break through its defenses. Mariam is killed by Manas after the Raiders take over the Shambhalan army and defeat them. After that, Manas chains Ashwatthama, and the walking stick falls into the unconscious Bhairava's hand. There, it is activated, and it turns out to be Karna's bow, the Vijaya Dhanush. This makes it clear that Ashwatthama is a descendant or reincarnation of Karna, a Kurukshetra War warrior.
Bhairava transforms into a superhuman thanks to Karna's bow, defeating the Raiders and eliminating Manas with ease. Due to Bujji's distraction, Bhairava reverts to his former self and takes Sumathi away while Awashthama watches. Yaskin uses the serum drop taken from Sumathi's fetus back at the Complex to become a much younger superhuman. He takes Arjuna's bow, Gandiva, and makes a promise to personally capture Sumathi and her child in order to change the world.

The first schedule of principal photography took place on July 24, 2021, during Guru Purnima, at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, and it featured Bachchan.[68] After Prabhas and Padukone joined the production in December 2021, scenes that featured both the actors and Bachchan were shot.[69][70]
The second schedule of principal photography took place in February 2022.[71] Rather than shooting the entire film in a single stretch, the team divided its 80–90 days of shooting into 7 The production team was actually able to take their time and prepare the gadgets and props that would be used in the movie because of this.
