Kantara: Chapter 1 is an upcoming Indian Kannada-language historical action thriller film set during the reign of the Kadambas of Banavasi, written and directed by Rishab Shetty and produced by Vijay Kiragandur for Hombale Films. It's a prelude to the 2022 film Kantara. Rishab Shetty plays Kaadubettu Shiva.

Filming began in November 2023, and the picture is set for release in late 2024. The first look and teaser were revealed on November 27, 2023.Kaani Studio designed the publicity poster. B. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the soundtrack and background music.
